It works by changing the body's response to some nerve impulses especially in the heart.CARDINOL is used to:#lower high blood pressure also called hypertension #help in the prevention of chest pain (angina) #long-term prevention of future heart attacks #control of most forms of irregular heart beat or rhythm #prevention of migraine headaches #treat certain tremor conditions #treat phaechromocytoma (a rare tumour of the adrenal gland) #control an overactive thyroid gland #certain other heart conditions If you are taking any other medicines including any you get without a prescription from a pharmacy supermarket or health food shop tell your doctor or pharmacist.Medicines that may interfere with CARDINOL include:Insulin and other medications used to treat diabetes Other medicines used to treat high blood pressure; angina or an irregular heart beat including calcium channel blockers eg.
