It is also used to treat severe behavioral problems in children and in hyperactive children (short-term use).Haloperidol comes as a tablet and liquid concentrate to take by mouth. It usually is taken two or three times a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.
